Just a warning. If you wanna rush a dung. Dont Put me in their. I Like the Xp We get from exploting all their is to do in Dung. Rushng is mass confusion. if you are a 130 somthing up front rushing Doors and your 116 somthing is getting killed because yer hitting doors So fast nobody can keep up. then IMO Yer doing the Dung wrong,
Our Clan Is not about Letting each other get killed. Is about being patient.

There are many ways to do dungeoneering. Rushing for fast xp is one way and taking advantage of all skilling xp is another way. I prefer somewhere in between. Everyone has to find their own way of doing it.

I think this event should be to show the basics and to let ppl decide for themselves what kind of dunge team is best for them.

ggs= is the "group gate stone" normaly the keyer has or can be drop near boss room or good resouces. i bind laws but that just me

GD= "guardian door" all the npc need to be killed in that room before you can move on

I'm asking Kaz about what I believe is a typo.

Yes, its a typo...I meant, when the leader/keyer calls ggs or gd, the support person should immediately cast GGS and help the leader/keyer fight or solve the room puzzle.

Personally, I think it is almost always best for the leader/keyer to keep the GGS on them the entie floor. Use personal GS if you want to tele back to somewhere else. For example, leaving GGS at an altar is generally a bad move, since it slows down the rest of the floor. Leave your GS at the altar if you really need to. (I just hate seeing everyone running around long distances at the end of a floor because the GGS is sitting by an altar no one needs right then. Keyer=run run run! )

I would like to ask people not to rush floors tonight.

The first time I went with a team of 4, we rushed, and I was totally left in the dark. I had no idea what i was doing, so consequently I didn't do anything. I didn't go dungeoneering again for months.

If we can bring each other up to speed, we'll find ourselves with lots of new dungeoneering partners! I hope everyone has fun tonight.

And thanks for the guide, Darth! Very helpful.

When it comes to pro dungeoneering/rushing I've most often seen the keyer use others' GS to access places you want to tele back to, dropping the ggs at the "next" GD (provided the rest of the team is already clearing a GD), and using his own GS to keep the opening/keying progress going.

BUT with that said I don't think rushing is a good idea for this event. I've seen this as a way to teach people who don't group DG the basics, then let them figure out their own style of group DG'ing.

WEll, the event was very wll attended...but only by teachers.

Serame, thanks for organizing it anyway. Maybe we can try again some other time. :)

Instead of doing a begginers Dung, I hopped into W117, joined a decent 5 man team, and we did F40. I played the Support role I describe in a previous post on this thread. I made 71k Dung exp (2nd highest exp in team), used mage for all combat, avoided most of the combat, spent a ton of time mining, smithing, cooking, making pots, built an altar, farmed, etc. Since I was on mage, i just helped kill nasty fighter types when needed.

I made MVP, Master Chef, Battle Mage, Survivor, David (maging a lvl 298 Fire Giant from a safe spot by myself, I guess), and 2 other titles. The team loved the supporting help, and we all had fun.

I can't over-emphasize the benefit of one person on a large team doing Support. Try it sometime! :D

I respect folks who want to rush a dung. it is IMO wrong. but that Is me. I am on a 5 person team. We all click together and makes it somthing to look forward to. Are scores and Being Consistant Reflects the welfare of the team as a core group.

Another words it works for us.
Mummble is another key factor.with Voice One can Keep up whats going on. And That helps. voice is a tool used to play games IMO To Not use A tool to benifit with better outcome.
Is that persons fault

Thanks to everyone who attended! Thanks to all the tutors for being willing to show us what you do, even if you didn't get the chance. Should we try it again at a more GMT-friendly time?

Here is my list of everyone who attended. I tried not to miss anyone, but please let me know if you were there or came later and I didn't see you.

Thank you for organising this event, as long as 1 person benefited from it, well it was worth it. I had fun :)
