Not everyone wants to kill all the time guys, Just because all that you may enjoy doing is combat non stop doesn't mean that its all of Koa. ..And it doesn't make for a well rounded character either, as many enjoy having. It seems rude to me that you guys get so bothered by the fact that people want to train it. I mean if people didn't enjoy training it as a skill then it wouldn't be picked and I think its horrible that people would consider having skills pushed on people because some skills are enjoyed more then others. I think a decline in skillweek just so you personally can gain a higher rank wouldn't be the way to go. However I've been thinking of a solution as soon as I can get to a time today I'll type it up and post it in the skillweek poll thread.

Also I'm sure I can do without drops for a week to gain all the benefits agility gives in the many skills it helps in.

Last Month Was the First time In KOA that I know Of that we did a skill That Had to Do with Fighting Besides Dung. As Far As I know. Agility has Been Nominated Before. And Has Won.

I enjoy My Fighting Lot My Freinds Do as Well. But that Is what I Like to do. And I will Continue to fight. FOREVER

I think it has little to do with drops, or preferring combat, or bothered by the fact that other people want to train it. It boils down to, (and I'm confident if you asked anyone here), that we're (those in opposition to agility) sick of the same rotation of skills.

Well thats great for you scootchy but not every player plays just for combat. We do slayer weeks pretty often it seems and that to many players is simply better then focusing on one field of combat such as attack or defence. That way the person can train however they like rather then being told what type of combat to do. Heck, I mean last month you and I trained our HP by slayer did we not? As did many others except the same few here, seem to also dislike the slayer skill. It simply doesn't make sense to me.

The reason skills don't win is because people don't want to do them, Plain and simple. People will take part less if its a skill we don't want to do. Theres no changing it and I would rather have more koaers take part then fewer because they were forced into a skill few want.

I understand that Bfoa but if those are the skills the majority want to train then thats what will be picked. Tamal proved you can win people over last month and did a great job at it but throw in selective combat skills like attack and defence and you make it a much smaller margin. Would it not be possible to have an event at the end of the month (last weekend) where it rotated randomly through all the skills? Once a skill was selected it'd go on a list and wouldn't be re-repeated till every skill had been seen. That way skillweek could remain a democratic process and the last weekend is where those who are against these type of skills could truly shine? Also people might like the idea of a weekend esp for some skills over the week long process.

I support Huzzah's plea that we respect other's choices (silent majority) and not criticize ppl with different desires.

As Tamal stated elsewhere, he worked hard to effect change last month -- Constitution was selected. He lobbied for this but did not use a negative campaign to reach his goal.

BFOA hit the nail on the head,it's the same old song & dance. Atleast in a "true" democratic process candidates get booted after 2 terms in office to prevent them from getting nominated over & over & over again. :-" Let's give Agility a nice severance package & retire it for the next year! Are you with me kinsmen?! For King, Country & Community! FREEEEEDOM!!!

I find its actually one of the more useful skills to have a higher level in. I know it might be a little bit off to get started but I mean really, It helps out a lot.

-Various shortcuts all around runescape that really speed getting up around. The tavi blue dragon and kuradel's shortcuts come to mind.
-Weight reduction clothing + quicker run recovery. 'Cause who really likes strolling?
-Double fish when fishing.
-Double to 4x times the loot when pick pocketing. A little extra profit never hurt, even if its smallish.
-My hunters too low to really take advantage of bear hand catching but it sounds neat
-Helps a lot to have an increased agility level during quests. Higher then the min is a bonus for sure.

And to be honest, Its quite nice to see clannies running around with you. It makes it way more fun and gives you the chance to socialize while grabbing yourself a nifty gorilla mask. The thing reminds me of the movie 30 Minutes or Less.

What I really think this comes down to is yes, we do see certain skills like agility cropping up again and again, but it's voted on isn't it? That does mean the majority enjoys training it and who are we to stop them just because we don't like it? Participating in the skill week isn't manditory either so it's not like we are forcing anyone to run laps.

Just for clarification though, i'm voting Magic.

If someone wants to host/organize another skillweek or other similar skilling event (not overlapping with the 15th-22nd of each month), then please do so. :)
