Yeah, that´s what I said- it´s not allowed.

Relaxing the rule would be great for bot owners- they bot millions on their bots and then trade to mains. Not of a big deal if the bot gets banned, they make a new one.

It's always been against the rules but there wasn't much of a choice when we had no bank. It was just understood that's what players did.

I remember mules way back. I wonder how many in total were ever created with all the coal mules for adam/runite items and what not.

I'm overjoyed about this update though they should have never changed it thb and done more against the cheaters. I wasn't around when they first took it out so it'll be neat to see the return. I plan to try my hand at staking/pking.

Retired fall of 2012. Goodluck Koa! :)

What bothers me about this massive update is not that long ago a company called Jagex kept on telling us that real world traders were very very bad people. These bad people were usually involved in crime like drugs and smuggling. They also told us that these bad people use Bots to collect things and do their dirty work for them. We know this because Jagex kept telling us this and infact they changed the game to try and stop these bad people.

Now they want to expose us all to these bad people once again? In one massive update to change the whole of runescape, they are brininging in so many changes. Would anyone else bring in such a massive software update at once? People say they have new systems that will stop bots and RWTers. All I can say is my arse! If they had anti-botting systems, they would of implemented them by now.

I think the boys with the big fat wallets are waving their wallets at Jagex to make them make more money. They want a new Aston Martin to go with their Mercs and BMW's.

When it hits the news that a young kid has been bullied, beaten up and harrassed by someone to get a piece of equipment he has in his runescape account, the papers will be all over Jagex and someone will loose their job.

I think I will be doing a lot of dunny for a while, firstly to keep out the way of the main game for a while and secondly, I want a new primal 2H and lots of scrolls with my reward points that I currently dont have!

See you inthe Wild!

Andy

Does WoW have anything similar to real world trading, PKing or botting?...or other aspects of the game where ppl can take advantage of either the game or other players?

If yes to any of the above, I'd be interested to learn how Blizzard Entertainment (maker of WoW) handled these issues.

Gold selling is huge in WoW and always has been. I think their system is better equipped at handling bots but they still exist. A blind eye has always been turned to gold selling IMO. Ive never seen or heard of anyone getting banned for buying WoW gold.

It's possible to get perma-banned in WoW for buying gold, but I think you have to be a serial repeat offender. The punishment is just taking the ill-gotten gold away, from what I've read.

The difference in WoW is that gold farmers can make a decent amount of scratch running instances where no one else can see you, so it doesn't really impact anyone else too much. There are other ways RWTers make money in-game, but since the game is really quest-oriented, and gathering/crafting is definitely not a priority, RWTers don't really make a huge impact like bots can impact real players in RuneScape.

I'm bitter that Jagex has spent $50+ million of RS subscriptions developing other games instead of improving RS. If you're reading one of my posts and I even allude to Dungeoneering as a "skill" instead of minigame, keep that in mind.
