RuneScape’s 10 Year Anniversary Bonanza!

Since RuneScape is going to become 10 years old on 4th January I am going to host a Giant Mole hunting Event on 4th January at 8 PM GMT to celebrate it.

So what to bring for hunting:

Items
Spade
A Light source (Should be covered light source like Bullseye Lanter )
Prayer Potions
One Click Teleports (Optional)
Combat boosting potions(Optional)
Holy Wrench (Optional)
Terrorbird pouch (Optional)
Tireless run scroll (Optional)

Armor
Legs and Body: Blue Elegance
Head: nothing / water tiara / law tiara / sailor hat / Asgarnian full helm / blue pirate bandana
Shield: Nothing / saradomin shield / Asgarnian shield / Holy Book / Falador Shield
Gloves: any white gloves / ice gloves / rune gloves
Boots: any white boots / boots of lightness / rune boots
Cape: nothing / legends cape / sara cloak / Blue Soul War Cape
Neck: nothing / saphire ammy / Gnome scarf / Holy Symbol
Ring: Explorer's ring (Optional)

Weapons (Options but not a must)
Dragon Dagger(p++)
Dragon Defender
Godsword
Rune C'Bow
Bolts (Broad or something like that)

Notes:
The Giant Mole uses Melee so use a Melee Protection/Deflect Prayer.
Bring a Teleport of your choice along with you just incase you happen to get in a sticky situation.
Watch your prayer. The consequences of not doing so could be fatal.
Don't waste your prayer. You don't want to have to teleport when it's almost dead.
Change your respawn point to Falador. If you die, you will be able to quickly retrieve your items.

You might ask why Giant Mole Hunting? The answer is simple I don't know how to host a Pub or House party, so I thought it would be best to kill something and the only high level creature in Falador Region is the Giant Mole.

NB! if someone has some more great ideas how to celebrate Runescape Birthday let me know.

Edit: Note the party should be in Falador Region as it has the biggest connected to KoA clan.

Ummm, the Fally 4 Shield is a must for someone to bring. It locates the Giant Mole for you. If I am there, I will bring mine. Incidentally, you also get Mole nose drops with the Fally 4 shield.

I'll try to make it, but it's during the day here in the US, so I'd have to sneak out during my lunch break.

FYI, in the official thread it mentions we can get a limited edition item for hosting a party. If we host an additional party on the weekend, we can get more turnout in the clan and possibly get free stoofs and Jagex staff attendance if we post an invite on the official forums.

Yeah I know that Jagex wishes that we would host an event related to our clan and invite them too :? . But the question is what event could we host in Falador or Lumbridege area ? The only thing that I could host is a Giant Mole Hunt and thats more like single person activity but if It somehow will be interesting and entertaining for everyone we could host another global one on the weekend.

Will see right now I am out off ideas and the thing I know for sure is that I wont be able to host a interesting PoH or Pub event .

NB! Also we need to inform them and record the event.

Get Special Stuff!


There are loads of places to hold a party and a million ways to promote it. The forums are an obvious place to get the ball rolling but things like in game promotion, fansites, clansites, social networks etc really help get your message across. If you'd like to have your very own balloon drop complete with limited edition anniversary items then you will need to invite us and tell us about your party. We don't need to know masses of detail but a link to your thread and a few details about what you have planned would be great.

It's always a great time for a party but to make sure we don't get overexcited, we're limiting ourselves to parties held from the day of our 10th Anniversary on Tuesday January 4th to Sunday the 9th January. Then, we'll be in full party mode again the following weekend on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th January.

As much as we'd love to, it's very unlikely that we'll be able to attend every single party that's planned especially if it's just you and small pony called Brian. We'll definitely be there in spirit though and would still love to hear about what we've been missing.

We'll send a 'bummer we missed your party' prize to the best party write-ups!. Send your emails to competitions@jagex.com with a subject line of "look what an awesome party you missed".
