Temple Trekking - Monday Night

Post by Darth Kaz2 » Mon Mar 08, 2010 3:47 am

With the upcoming Bonus EXP weekend, Temple Trekking is looking good for summoning exp. Nail Beast Charms, regularly 1015 sumn exp (yes, 1.015k sumn exp per charm), are only found during Temple Trekking. I have been doing TT a few days, and have 155 charms so far...that will be 425k summoning exp in about 10 minutes of play on Friday!

Temple Trekking is easy and fun. Read up on it in your favorite fan-site. Tip.it, Runehq, and the RS forums all have excellent guides.

I am hosting a TT event on Monday night, March 8th, from 8-11pm EST. Everyone is welcome, from TT newbs to old veterans of the swamps. We will chat, motivate, compare tasks and rewards, and generally have fun. Imagine walking away from this event with Full Lumberjack clothes and a bunch of Nail Beast Charms for this weekend! :D Hope to see you there!

Kaz, which route are you taking and companions? Route 2 and medium companions?

You can take any route and be part of the event. I have tried two strategies so far this week:

1. Max profit: Route 3, medium follower. I consistently got 300k per hour in rewards and just under 10 nail beast charms.

2. Max charms: Route 1, weakest follower. I consistently got 120k per hour in rewards and just under 20 nail beast charms per hour.

If going with options 2, bring knife, hatchet, and tele home tele runes. Evade all combat events except Nail Beasts (duh). You cannot evade non-combat events, so do bogs, bridges, etc. Escape the campsite event by teleporting to house, then coming back to Paterdomus for next run. Each run takes only a couple of minutes. Every time you get Nail Beast Charms, finish run and bank in Burgh, and cash in reward tickets too. Personally, I use guthans so you don't need food or anything else...Simple, Fast, Easy, and Nail Beast Charms!!

Looking forward to seeing some of you there. :D

I will try to be there, still need more charms!!

I also like to use slayer ring to caves, short run to fairy ring (west) and CKS to temple trekkers.

Thanks for coming, everyone. It was much more fun plodding through the TT charm grind with you're distractions. Enjoy the rewards, lumberjack outfits, and nail beast charms...I know I will! :D

I think I have a new game to be addicted too...I'd still be playing if I didn't have stuff yet to collect for this weekend! Thanks for hosting, Darth!
