Ok how about this, not exactly a riddle.. but this isn't really math either (hint hint)

x = 5 / a;
y = 5 / b;

Find values for a and b such that a == b and x != y

And:

x = [a<b]
y = [a>b]
z = [a==b]

Find values for a and b such that (x or y or z) is false (yes that means the axiom of trichotomy failed, so don't try to find any a and b in R - at most one of them can be in R)

Classic problems that every programmer should be able to solve in a few seconds - sadly that doesn't appear to be true.. :(

edit: come on guys this is not so hard, do you need a hint?

Ok I win, it's been nearly a month..

Find values for a and b such that a == b and x != y:
a = 0 (zero)
b = -0 (negative zero)
They compare equal to each other (because they're both "nothing" I guess) but their sign affects division: 5/0 = infinity (positive infinity), 5/-0 = -infinity (negative infinity)
-0 is not a joke

Find values for a and b such that (x or y or z) is false :
solution 1:
a = NaN (not a number)
b = anything, doesn't matter
solution 2:
a can be anything
b = NaN
solution 3: 1 and 2 combined in the same solution (they don't rule each other out) giving:
a = NaN
b = NaN
yes even "NaN == NaN" is false. Because you need some way of detecting them, there is a function isNaN that returns true if its input is NaN.
NaN is not a joke either

ok, This one should be now much easier as Harold´s. Harold, you clearly overestimated us :P

This is a joke-riddle in Estonia ( interesting if that joke is known in other countries too .. ):

Question 1 : How can you put a bear into the refrigerator?

Yup, with a chainsaw.
Although, I recommend keeping some of it in the freezer.
Unless you can eat a whole bear before it starts to go rotten. :P

what do you mean wrong woman?

don't make me come round there with a chainsaw and show you how it's done!

do you have any bears nearby? I'll have to get div to catch it first, cos they always go for me.

div has some mad trapping skills, he knows bear talk.

he saunters up all sexy like, saying hey there big bear, would you like some of my porridge - (obviously in a cadburys caramel rabbit voice) then BAM!!!! he whips out his big stick and knocks it out in one foul blow.

obviously I'm declaring this riddle null and void as you won't accept the correct answer.

Don´t complain!! The questions was : How you can put a bear into refrigerator not the pieces of bear.. No rules were changed, lol.
