Interclan skill comp discussion thread

Post by Lady in Ice » Wed Jul 17, 2013 4:15 pm

Hello!

This thread is to discuss KoA vs Celestial conspiracy skilling competition starting on 28th of July : http://www.koaclan.co.uk/forums/viewtopi ... 72#p133372

The reason this post is in the RS chat forums is to avoid seeing it by the representative of Celestial Conspiracy.

If you think there is something helpful which is not covered by my post, please post it.

Agility : Sun 28th at 10 pm BST/5 pm EDT
Fishing : Mon 29th at 10 BST/5 pm EDT
Hunter : Tuesday 30th ---- " ---------
Mining: Wednesday 31th of July
Runecrafting : Thursday 1st of Aug
Thieving : Friday 2nd of August
Woodcutting : Saturday 3rd of August at 10 pm BST/5 pm EDT

Helpful for agility:
1. Fill your Barbarian assault horn ( double agility and mining exp, so it is VERY useful to fill it)
2. Circus!

Helpful for fishing
1. Fish flingers is one of the fastest exp in game. If you plan on playing it during competition, make sure you have at leat 10 tickets ( talk to the fisherman each day until you have 10)
2. Other fast methods to fish: lure ( Shilo village )
3. Fishing urns

Helpful for Hunter
Herblore habitat :)
Big Chincompa D&D
Prepare your hunter and zamorak potions!

Helpful for mining
1. Clan ring!
2. Stealing creation pickaxes
3. Barbaran horn again! ( exp should stack, I tried it with horn+ clay pick)
4. Mining potion from herblore habitat
5. Rock crushing scrimshaw
6. Mining urns
7. Porbably gold mining in Lrc is the best exp

Helpful for Runecrafting
Runespan:D
Don´t know of anything that could boost exp.

Helpful for thieving
1. Pyramid plunder should be still good exp.
2. Monkey fighters should be quite decent too but it requires a bit of a practise before you can do them properly
3. Circus?

Helpful for woodcutting
1. Juju potion ( banks logs)
2. Clay hatchets
3. Teaks should be good exp ( at ape atoll)
4. sawmill
5. arctic pines good exp

Other methods of preparing/ exp:
1. POP ( rc exp when making seasinger robes), fishing exp voyages
2. Troll invasion
3. Penguins
4. Warbands ( for mining exp)
5. Jack of all trades aura
6. Dont forget about dailies! If you could save up done dailies at least for agility+ hunter, would be great
7. Strange rocks

Please feel free to post your ideas and suggestions, I will edit my post.

- Don't forget Jack of all Trades
- I'll be saving my sandstone and getting 2 lots done in the 24hr mining day
- Save weekly circus event to get agility XP on the agility comp day

Still probably time effective.

Woodcutting section seems to be lacking
Last competition, I did well with sawmill, crystal saw can give xp boost if using that method.
Arctic pines are supposed to be good xp as well, you can chop and split them, and I think there is a quick deposit pile nearby

Thanks all! I have edited my first post.

I also thought saving dailies would be a great idea ( dailies done but not checked in Burthorpe)

The only problem is if they´re 5 then each day you get a new on which makes one od the old ones disappear.

Also if people have some undone quests/diaries, those rewards can be also used during competition

Some tips for non specific skills:

1. Pack up on Hotpockets and Mountain Dew
2. Make sure microwave is in same room as computer, or at least have laptop available
3. Unplug your home phone
4. Tell all your friends, family, employers, illegitimate lovers that you are on a week long trip to feed the starving children in (insert famine-riddled country here).
5. Make your batteries on your cellphones run out. When in doubt, apply hammer to phone with enough force to at least destroy the screen. Seriously, no distractions.
6. Pre-make a playlist of every movie, show, etc you are going to watch during the afkable skills. You are not allowed to change midway, that is exp waste. Once it is on, you are committed to that list.
7. No bathroom breaks, make sure a jar is readily available. Might want to add some Febreze as well.
8. No replying to private messages / clan chat. If you must, turn privacy off.
9. Drink raw eggs. It worked for Rocky. Make sure you're not allergic to eggs before attempting this step however; don't pull a Kelso.
10. Only sleep in 4 minute intervals. This allows you to afk while you sleep without getting logged out.
11. Showering is extreme exp waste, it's just not worth it!
12. Get personal training lessons from Suomi / Zarfot. Only 20m / hour!
