I'm so surprised that smithing is winning, the price of that skills is currently absolutely insane and from what I know of people in cc I doubt many have the bank/willingness to spend what would be needed to do high exp methods for a whole week.

The truth is, most people don't compete as ferociously as some, for most it is an excuse to train skills they don't usually train. Skillweek is more focused on the community aspect of training with the company,help and camaraderie of the clan. It's not all about winning :)

Personally i've been meaning to get into the top 1k smithing ranks this will atleast gie me some justification of spending money doing it. Smithing is way less expensive if you alch all the products you make too
