If you could only be one class in runescape.

Hey all. I was thinking runescape is pretty unique in the fact that it allows you to play multi classes at the same time instead of having to pick one to max out. Just for kicks would you choose to be a warrior, a mage or a ranger? Any reason behind it?

I'd not quite sure but I think I'd choose to be a ranger. Although this character started out as a 'Necromancer' and magic has always been a fav skill but for sure not melee. I just don't enjoy it as much thb.

I would go with mage because it is the funniest for me to train. the only down side is cost. Jagex has really come along way with the animations for the spells. AND would you really wanna walk everywhere?

A mage definitely. In single-class RPG's I always make a mage character first.

Depends on the game for me. When it comes to Runescape, I'd go with mage, just because of all it has to offer.

But when you start drifting into other games, I'd pick warrior, simply because I like their leadership role, and them being the first ones into the fray; as well as the only thing standing between your friends and certain doom.

It depends on a lot of factors. In most RPG's, mage is the way to go. Level 3 Fireball spell...are there any RPG's without the old reliable Fireball? Seriously, the ability to blast multiple enemies at once is the main reason mage rules most games.

In RS, however, where you are routinely fighting in single combat, Melee is a viable option. Yet all the non-combat spells are a core reason to train mage, at least for me. Therefore, would train mage, but if RS split up Mage combat and Mage skilling,I would probably use Melee for fighting, and alch my way to all the useful teleports and other spells.
