Something new to kill please.

Post by Deep_Pain » Sun Feb 21, 2010 10:55 am

OK I'm camping training str.

I'm wearing SC armour for fast exp, so I'm banking fairly often, so not something that is miles inside caves etc..

would be good if it's near a teleport or a bank.

something between say 50 and 100. Would prefer 80+ but if there's heaps of them 50+ would work.

I'm at greaters at the moment and they hardly hit, but the odd time i get hit by a hellhound they hit everytime, so def isn't great in sc armour.

Would be nice if they dropped something, but I'm not after making heaps, I've made almost nothing from greaters (9 rune fulls in 600k ish exp). but over 300 crimsons.

So any half decent drop rate would be ok, money or charms, no need for both.

so er any ideas?

I was just killing spectres in Pollivneach dungeon ( they are lvl 96 i believe). I had a bunjip and I took about 5 monks with me ( to get full inventory of herbs/seeds) + extreme pots. You still get hit ( if not using prayer) but it made me pretty nice gp from herbs and seeds. ( and blue charms)

I teled to pollivneach with slayer ring and banked in CW ( with duel ring)

OK
http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Armoured_zombies
Will need a couple of quests though
I testes it and got 75k strength xp an hour using a SS without even trying, not to mention about 175k-200k worth of drops and a good few charms to boot. I think I even posted about them on forums somewhere, I'll brb again, going to find it.
EDIT: didn't find it :(

I haven't had much xp myself with killing these, but I heard cockroach soldiers are quite good for money (rune drops) and for charms, and not hard to kill either. If you go to a fuller world, respawn shouldn't be a problem either I think, and they are just south of edgeville.

Dusties in chaos tunnels (with bunyips & alchs)... only a short jog from edge,
i get there, camp for 2 pouches (possibly 6 if i brought summon pot) , house tele (dust & law rune or tab) use house glory to edge & bank, restock & charge summon at obelisk near bridge, and run back
decent drops, lots of alch-ables + shot at dchain, very good crimson charms as well
if you wanted to super camp, even bring a chisel for all the jem drops and make them into bolt tips for stacking purposes

I agree with Chris, Armored Zombies are one of the best places to camp for exp and they do have a few good drops. They also allow you to piety and/or protect melee due to the prayer altar right above you.
Currently playing: Civilization V, Hearthstone, Dwarf Fortress II, Golf (IRL).

if your going to the zombies, don't forget to take a Salve Amulet (e) if you have one for that extra damage bonus.

thx guys, did zombies in the end, camped them for the whole of 98-99.

With SC And pushing it, I was getting 140-150k in 44 mins (bunyip time) The SC armour ran out around 100k and I was waiting for bunyip to die b4 recharging.

I gues I did around 450k with SC armour rest without.

The exp slowed a lot when I ran out of SC, I guess 100k an hour is easily possible, but I found it took too much concentration. With taking it easy watching TV, not always potting as often as I should or catching prayer when it ran out for piety, I was averaging about 70k exp per hour.

for the 1 odd million exp i got there, i got these drops:

Not amazing but for the fast exp and eeeasy camping (88 def didnt need food at all with bunyip in SC armour) I'm happy with that. obviously only picked up stackables and rannars, after a while i started picking up addy shields.

thats all the charms i got too.

Oh and champions scroll :P
