In-game event items

This morning JaGeX tweeted this:

A selection of "curiosities" have been reported for sale in the desert lands of #RuneScape: choice makers, route markers, and more... Ajd

I'm guessing that this is related to the in-game event items that JaGeX mentioned a few months back. From the tone of the tweet, it sounds like this update is live already. Anyone know if that's true?

You mean like the dice thingies they mentioned? HEard nothing of it myself, though it would be cool if they were released all sneaky like that

lol we could all wear racing boots tot he opening ceremonies and once set up in place have kal (that mean woman) imobilize us. and then blow the horn to let us go and start the olys. lol just a thought.
