Magic Loadout for Slayer
So all of these abilities and what not are a bit overwhelming first coming back to.
This is my current loadout to mage iron dragons for slayer.
Any help on what abilities are a MUST and which ones I should drop would be great.

Re: Magic Loadout for Slayer
I´d switch Deep impact for wild magic.
Also sunshine instead of omnipower
err. why home tele on ability bar?
Also not sure if the area is multicombat. If it is, the chain ability will hit other dragons too and you´ll have several on you

Sunshine? I can't find that ability. Is it obtained from a quest or something?Lady Kal wrote:Also sunshine instead of omnipower
Because yolo, that and I forgot to take it off after realising you can press T to get the interface up.Lady Kal wrote:err. why home tele on ability bar?

Right. Quote from Wiki:Akachi wrote:

So you better start with that quest because sunshine is one of the main ultimate abilities used ( at least for bossing)Sunshine is an ultimate magic ability with a requirement of 85 Magic. It is a reward for completing the grandmaster quest The World Wakes.
Metamorphosis should be good also , or Tsunami
Re: Magic Loadout for Slayer
probably not that important for iron dragon tasksLady Kal wrote:So you better start with that quest because sunshine is one of the main ultimate abilities used ( at least for bossing)

I´d say it´s very good even with iron dragons. The boost allows you to kill more of them in 1 goDeep_Pain wrote:probably not that important for iron dragon tasksLady Kal wrote:So you better start with that quest because sunshine is one of the main ultimate abilities used ( at least for bossing)
Definitely worth doing the quest.
Re: Magic Loadout for Slayer
I think every person has their own style and way to deal with mobs. Kal as you already understand prefers to get ganged

Re: Magic Loadout for Slayer
Not sure if your loadout is complete yet, but I have a couple recommendations
If you can manage to get level 85 magic for super antifire potions (or just for anything other than dragons), I'd suggest using 2h or dual wielding instead of a shield. This allows you access to Sonic wave and Concentrated Blast respectively. Because they have only a 5s cooldown, combined with wrack with a 3s cooldown, you're able to build up adrenaline very efficiently and quickly. This holds true for any combat style, just the abilities have different names
Ganodermic boots are lv75 boots that are very cheap, it should give you more bang for your buck than nearly anything else available
Your pocket slot can be used for combat effectiveness if you don't need the rock bag to save space. I usually have some spare resources for scrimshaws such as "scrimshaw of the elements": "Every magic attack hits with a moderate amount of elemental damage"
Don't leave your ring slot empty either! Even something like an explorer's ring can help giving small stat boosts plus free high and low alchs daily to save inventory space/get extra profit if you would have otherwise dropped it
