Knocked Offline - AGAIN

I just got knocked offline - after getting the message "connection lost - attempting to reestablish". Sat there forever and it finally popped me to log in screen. Now I can't get the configuration to load at all. WTF!!! I'm in dung 3/4 of the way through this floor and I'm getting seriously ticked off. Has anyone else had this happen just now? :evil: :-x

If I completely remove RS and re-download it I'll lose my floor won't I..............

NVM - it's finally loading. Geez what a pain in the ass. If this is how it's going 2 b until RS3 comes out I don't know if I even want to come online. >:P

I'm still out... I got kicked at about 8:00 and it is at 0%loading.

From what I've heard this is down to the new boss added yesterday, it's crashing the servers. People going to kill it can only get so far through the fight then the whole thing crashes and they lose their stuff but it's going right through the game too. Had terrible problems last night trying to get into citadel because of it

From your picture, Deep, I would think the server issues were something other than the new boss since the f2p worlds are down as well :/

Jagex's explanation (supposedly not due to the new boss):

Yesterday, on the 3rd of July, we experienced some system outages in one of our data centres. As a result, some of our game worlds were down. We want to apologise for these outages and assure you that we are working extremely hard to address them.

We pride ourselves in being able to provide you with a reliable service 24/7/365 and any downtime is completely unacceptable to us.

We know what the problems are and what is responsible. We are working to resolve this. The issues relate specifically to do with our server hosting environment and not with the awesome game content that we launched yesterday.

We would also like to apologise to any players that lost items during the outage. We are currently investigating impacted accounts and will be replacing their equipment as a priority. If you lost items, please post on this thread using this QFC: 15-16-867-65055389. We will be cross-checking any reports with our own data to ensure all (and only) fair and legitimate claims are addressed.

In the short term, we are changing some of our gravestone code to allow players to bless the graves of disconnected players. Expect to see that fix in the very near future.
