As for whether they look normal or not - what exactly is normal? Normal is what we see everyday around us, general people going about their everyday lives. Yeah, most people in Runefest looked normal. Some of them, however, were pretty cute.... ;;) .

If you didnt get my sarcasm, the people that went to Runefest were regular people, just like Beckiebabe and me. We all play Runescape, so we're all the same. The difference is, they had a great experience on Saturday which they will remember for the rest of their lives. I am guessing you probably didnt.
 really? They stopped playing......to make costumes for the game they stopped playing.....to go to a festival to celebrate the game they stopped playing. Just want to clarify the fact they stopped playing and logged off is the important thing.

If you think that I'm not gonna bust peoples balls for going out looking like that then you don't know my sense of humor. Am I better than any of them? Of course not but they look ridic.

As far as the amount of time people play this game please leave that insult for the 14 year olds that spew it at me daily.

I had quite a nice time on Saturday though :)

Thanks for posting the pics. I'm glad it was successful. That means they're likely to do another one next year.

I will be going to the next one, I will be dressing up in full gear, and I will gain three drinking levels while there! :D

The biggest problem will be figuring out how to get a magic staff through airport security (and protecting it from destruction by baggage handlers.) I'm thinking a ski bag would work. :-?

Good guess.
I'm a nerd, just not a 'fly-to-england-and-dress-up-like-a-runescape-character-level-of-nerd' Yet...
but, I'm working hard at it, hopefully I level up to the point where I can make my costume WHILE I'm playing Runescape, before the next Runefest. (as long as I keep eating dinner at my computer, which we all know is bonus nerd xp) ;)

You'll have to concede that dressing up in bandos armor or a skillcape has some inherent humor attached to it, as I'm sure the people wearing them would agree.
I don't think anyone bashed the attendees of runefest in this thread to a degree that required you to put us in our place.
We are all aware that we play Runescape... and all that it entails
Its a fun game ... just like I'm sure Runefest was fun for those who went. :)

Solution: teleportation...no need for airport security
