First reply!! Woot!!

When the update hit, I was slaying Fire Giants in the Chaos Tunnels. I logged out, went to work, and logged in a couple hours later to trusty old W114. Yikes! First, logging in to W114, I am warned that it is a nasty Pk-er's paradise where I am sre to die and lose everything I own. Second, I was automatically taken out of the nice cozy safe Chaos Tunnels and found myself in Edgeville, fire giant task waiting to be completed. Third, when heading back to the Chaos Tunnels (via the entrance just east of the Abby Mage), I just happen to notice that the wild is a churning mass of angry white dots, all hell-bent on shedding my blood on the slick wildy ground and looting my still warm and quivering corpse of all my best combat gear, with which I plan on killing the fire giants.

Run, Forrest, Run!

My solution to this dillemma, you ask? The cowards way...hop to a world with less than 300 people thirsting for my blood and take my chances dashing to the tunnel entrance.

Fun. :D

First reply!!!...erm....Second reply!

Yesterday, Rilo trapped the penguin at lvl 56 wildy on a non-W60 world. He graciously waited for Sunni Ray, Serame, Tamal and me to join him. While heading into the new "old Wildy" for the first time, using the Edgeville teleport lever, I anticipated an immediate ambush at the Widly terminus. So, I only took only a dragon dagger (for the spider web) with me.

I pulled the lever.....

No PKers. Whew!!

With my quickened pulse, I ventured forth. Still no PKers. I ran east until comforted by a green dot on my minimap--> Rilo! Then Sunni...then Tamal....then Serame. (The Fellowship of the Peng) All arrived unmolested.

We departed separate directions except Sunni, Tamal and I who wanted to see the new and improved Chaos Elemental! ....Sooooooo, we head to the new, improved (?) Chaos Elemental who dispatched us to our respective respawn locations. Falador for me. No items lost. :D

I looted a mage short bow off the floor, does that count as a tale from the wild? XD

It's just really good to be able to relax by going to Edge, sitting down and watching all everyone fight - its actually rather exciting!
I know I couldnt kill someone even If I tried lol!

Interestingly, I returned to the Wildy the next day to help a KoA clannie find the peng. It was in exactly the same place as the day before but on a different world. Has anyone found this week's wildy peng in a location different than lvl 56 wildy, on the shore, just north of the chaos elemental?

I'm speculating that wildy pengs (when they appear) may be fixed at a certain location. This would offset the challenge faced by peng chats no longer announcing the locations of wildy pengs due to pk danger.

My son got lured yesterday, lost 200k and 200 ish nats, he was a bit sketchy about the circumstances because I have warned him about it so many times so a bit embarrased, his problem is he likes to help people and people pray on that, its a lot of money to him.

I witnessed so many people trying to lure people to the wildy, I just wanted to warn all of them but there are just too many, I guess they have to learn the hard way.

I guess its gone back to the days of everyone out for themselves.

When the novelty dies down and pking returns to just 2 servers ill do my vigilanty patrols on the quiet servers helping cluers again.

The guy was using a glitch with energy transfer spell along with korasi sword. People were just trying to get away to save their items.
