so when runescape is so incredibly laggy for days on end restart your computer. i didn't think it would help because nothing else seemed to be effected and i already have problems with running rs on a mac but wow insta fix!

Also, check for programs running in the back ground. For instance, my webcam has a back ground application that runs that consumes processing cycles and I have to manual exit out of it before playing lag heavy games such as RS and Combat Arms (though Combat Arms is MUCH worse).

Sometimes just restarting the browser helps.

After few tab openings and closing, the browser gets bloated and drags down the performance.

Because every time you open a tab in the browser, some memory is occupied. Even if you close the tab, all that memory is not released. At some point browser takes up most of the cpu cycles.

i use firefox for rs because for some reason rs crashes every few minutes in safari. i use safari for everything else though. thanks for the tips.

also run clean disk as not all puters erase older temp files and they use up valuable space and also run ur ad-ware clean up etc...
