I'm currently working my butt off trying to do all the back quests for this new quest. It's frustrating. I still need (and can't get) a sextant. And I'll need help with rebuilding the temple for the last leg of the Shades of Mort'ton quest (I've done the rest of it). I think I also have 2 other quests to do too. *heavy sigh*

I believe you can build a sextant with a certain workbench (confirmation needed) and there is an official temple building or shade something (?) world which makes it much easier.

Believe me, I looked into all avenues. Tip.it said that you can make one in your POH on a level 4 crafting bench. So, I went to my POH with supplies and upgraded my crafting bench until it was a level 4 version. When I went to make the sextant, it was not an option in the bench's menu. I was very disappointed.

There is. World 77. I haven't checked it out yet, but it's on my "to do" list. :D Thanks for the help. :)

I'm sure that you can make one on that crafting bench (can't confirm atm, but I'm next to 100% positive I've seen the sextant option). Perhaps there's a "more options" option at the bottom of the list that you missed?

Tip.it also says you can get it from "Murphy at the Khazard Docks"
Currently playing: Civilization V, Hearthstone, Dwarf Fortress II, Golf (IRL).

That's where I got my sextant. (and got it a second time after dying with the first one was in my inventory)

According to runewiki:
Sextants may also be made with one steel bar in a player's house at the Workshop on the Crafting table 4 only after obtaining the first one from Murphy

I saw that too. I went there several times over the weekend, thinking that I missed something in Murphy's dialogue about it, but I never saw anything about that. I did get another set of scuba gear. lol

From RuneHQ about Murphy...
Also he will give you a Sextant if you have a coordinate clue and have spoken to the professor at the observatory.
When I go to the professor at ask him about it, he says that I don't have a coordinate clue. So, who knows when I'll get a coordinate clue. *heavy sigh* I did finally do that clue that was sitting in the bank for 2 years. So, maybe I'll get one when I go back to crim farming? It's just so disappointing that I have to wait for a random drop before I can do the latest quest. :'(

I think the reason Murphy isn´t giving the sextant is you need to have a clue scroll in your inventory :P

LMAO! You think?? "If" I had a coordinate scroll (and yes, it HAS to be a "cordinate" clue scroll) I surely would've had it in my inventory. :P

I just wanted to add to the original discussion that you can bring your Dwarven cannon up to Ghorrok to make for some very speedy Iron Dragon killing.

You get noticeably more zeroes against metal dragons, but the task goes super-fast. You're basically running around picking up drops and reloading your cannon.

Good thinking! It had never occurred to me, might consider that if I don't fancy kuradels dungeon. Do you have the problem of being attacked by the nearest dragon though (rather than the one that you are on task), I always found that irritating in Brimhaven?

When you squeeze past the ice block into the area with the metals, all the Irons are out in "front" (the south and east sides).

You need to head to the west side before you run into any Steels.

I'm assuming that no one else does Steel Dragon tasks either, so I'll confess I don't know if they're bunched together as well. I just found all those Irons with no Steels. No idea if there are Steels with no Irons 'round back.
