And also this whole bank space thing has good things to it, but it's just another step towards eventually selling big in-game benefits that affects gameplay hugely. Total disapproval.

To be honest if it wasn't for the good people in Koa I would have left runescape awhile ago I think. I can honestly see down the road them selling special weapons and maybe even right out exp-giving items. Could not happen this year but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be next. (Unless 2012 kills us all. =o) I totally disaprove of this. It should be free to all p2p at very least. I hope they change theyre direction because I hate how its going. I mean our update last week was new buyable emotes. Who knows, it could always hopefully turn around and I do wonder how many points it will cost and how long it'll be till it comes out.

When I see Lev 3s with Slayer capes it seriously pisses me off. What's gonna be up to the highest bidder next - Full Trimmed Comp Capes? Then there's the people with real-life money to burn who can afford to buy spins on Sof to get all the xp lamps they want. I agree with Huzz - if it wasn't for KoA I'd be quitting RS and this is one of the few things I'm still able to do. It's also just about the only human contact I have (except the grocery store clerk and that doesn't really count). I'm just gonna keep my head down, attempt to ignore the bogus "extras" and hope it doesn't get worse - yeah right, lol........ :twisted: >:P

I know it's just me, but I just can't get too worked up over this stuff. It's a game. I have fun playing it -- with or without purchasable bank space. I don't seek anything socially redeeming from Jagex or RS. I just seek out entertainment, and I continue to have a blast. Perhaps Jagex will push my button someday...not sure how or when. Time will tell.

I called this one ages ago. Before I knew about the "wise old man" I think I may have even suggested it on RS official forums. :hangs head in shame:

On a side note I also campaigned for social slayer, and am thrilled they actually listened & followed through. Now if they only get their heads out of the '90's and get that official forum app out already. I have a browser on my phone but feel a dedicated forum app would be a lot snappier, or even a mobile version of RS home (without all that flash running non-stop). Also my phone doesn't recognize the RS forum log-in spot as a place to type. I get a cursor but my keyboard won't pop up. I honestly would pay for an add free official forum app... Better they get it out before a 3rd party developer does & hi-jacks mass accounts.

well im very upset at all this real life money for just about everything now .. rs use to be unique in that u got skills and outfits ect .. by doing quests or at least working for it .. now its just money money money.. this game is going to be for the elite people who have cash to buy what ever they need ............so depressing

I am not sure why you getting so upset about all this, it is up to everybody on their own if they are willing to pay for cosmetic stuff, I my self admit I did buy my telly pony and I love it. This kinda cosmetic stuff is almost in every game, don't get me wrong I am not trying to defend Jagex but of course that staff of theirs has to be paid, their workers have to be paid and the investors want to make their money too, on the other hand player want more bigger better updates but nothing suppose to change ... somehow I think we all know that doesn't fit. Nobody is saying you have to buy anything from them but I am sure most of us have taking advantage of all their freebies. Now I do have to agree on the spins, as it includes XP and GP such things you shouldn't be able to buy at all at anytime.

I don't mind them selling anything that does not give any form of extra exp, the reason bank spots being buyable mildy irritates me now is simply that I've had to drop tons & tons of stuff over the years...that stuff does add up. As a hoarder, I'm all for more bank space..though atm I actually have 200 EMPTY spots with the way the bank already is (just the normal provided spots). And of course, I bought the kitty costume...I figure if I have to look at myself all day, everyday, I prefer to be cute

My illness is Mod Mark claiming they'll introduce a Jagex branded form of gambling (As I posted a pic above, not sure if people even saw it...but I couldn't bother adding a whole new topic Lol).

Im upset because things like bank space and the gambling thing are going beyond cosmetic. Its in game advantages now, moving further down the line. Im also not too fond of the fact last week our main update was infact buyable cosmetics. I have no issues with the buyable cosmetics being sold though to be honest. Ive thought about getting the gnome copter myself for awhile. A few others have looked neat as well. In the end I'll adjust Im sure.
