Why does that trade seem so complicated? I'm utterly ignorant about "street" trading, so why did the other guy have to add 194 million to the trade?

Divine and Ely are only 26 mil off G.E price. Divines street is much higher though. The pumpkins are 105 mil each on G.E Royal crowns last I heard have a 40mil street val and that onyx ring I want to say has 80 mil street? I could be off on the ring though.
the pumpkins put him 200 million over trade the crowns are 4.7 mil each on ge i think ring is 7.9 on ge

Wow, congratz. I don't think I will ever have the resources to get into the mess of street trading.

Couldn't he have just kept his pumpkins, and the guy could have kept the coins, or some variation thereof?
Or was this trade so seemingly complicated because the OP was also looking to also unload 200M coin worth off stuff at the same time? Or was this level of horse-trading required to get the item in question.
No need for a big explanation, if it requires one. I just wondered exactly why so many items and cash were involved on both sides. Again, this stuff makes no sense to me.

Ok this is how street trading works those extra items added are worth more street then ge, the pumpkins are around 500m each street, crowns 40m elysian 1b, and the divine is around 1.5-2 bits a a little explantion but yah it does get confusing at times and anoying. Thats why there are so many items in trade because other wise no one would sell them for ge price, they want more then that. Yah blame the merchants, i don't like em like many lol.

Thanks for the clarification. While I still don't understand the nuances, it at least makes SOME sense. LOL.
And since I never said it before: congrats on the shield.
