Update

Post by Blaise » Sun Jul 19, 2009 12:30 pm

I am posting this here as I could not find a way to post it anywhere else.

Hey all,

Well, in the worst case scenario I lost my Dad and my sister lost her husband
within a few days of eachother earlier this month.

My Dad's case was a mercy as he was suffering greatly. My brother in-law was
out stripping a deck on his house 2 days before he passed away even though he was on a 500mcg
fentanyl patch (serious pain killer). My sister is suffering from MS which forced her to resign as
a partner in her law firm and she is still inconsolable as she has had bad luck in men and
Dan was a truly good guy and loved in the community as evidenced by the 500+ people that attended his
service here and the huge number who attended the funeral in Illinois.

Now we are dealing with where my Mother will live as she is very independent and is not
ready to deal with any of those choices yet.

I know I haven't been ever an active member really, just thought I'd update since I had posted
about this before.

Thats it, take care and my best wishes for you and yours.

My heart is with you. I started tearing up half-way through your father's obituary. He sounds like such an intresting and wonder person. Best wishes to you. :)

Oh, blaise! So sorry for all of your loss. Sounds like rl has been pwning you, but good. You were caught in an inactivity sweep here. Just say the word, and we will change you back to member. I know that is the very least of your worries, but a little escape now and then and/or friends to commiserate with is a good thing. As a matter of fact, I'll just go change you now so you can stop in if you want.

I will keep you and yours in my prayers.

Thanks guys and thanks for the reinstatement Kodi.
Mom is the one of course hit the hardest after 47 years of marriage.
She keeps thinking up things she should have done with or for him and we keep telling her what a wonderful wife she was to him.
I don't really think at 82 she will "get over it" as some friends irl have opined but we are concentrating on keeping her busy and making sure she looks after her own health.

I logged on my acct ingame once or twice to just escape but I guess I felt guilty enjoying myself. Probably will start again after we get Mom settled either in my or my sister's place.

Once again thanks for the kind words, they are appreciated and I'll stop back in, the new site looks great, nice bit of work there.
