You make valid points there, Moz.

The reason why I rather prefer using fc is that KoA has always been a relaxed and open clan and we allow multiclanning that a lot of RS clans don´t do.
When we switch over to cc then it means our members have to decide whether to be with KoA or not. Imo its not a bad thing, as you ( Moz) said, it helps to strengthen the clan and encourage unity.
However, it would mean that the basics of KoA ( and partly the idea behind KoA) are changing because Jagex decided so with the clan updates. I have been KoA since it was a " baby" and I have seen it growing and evolving
KoA is not the same that it was 3 years ago and it most likely will be different in 2 years, so..
What ever the clans choice would be- fc or cc- eventually we get used to it and be happy with it.

I "spoke" to a J-mod in the clan leaders forum a couple of weeks ago. I asked about the status of the shortened clan CC line precursors. (i.e., [KOA]) He acknowledged that this is on Jagex's "to do list", but no timeframe given. It's probably not high on their priority list.

Great point, Kal. I hadn't even thought of "what if that's just not what KoA is or wants?".

Not since I have been here, its always been a members only clan and the odd collaboration with a few clans, the best part of an open clan is guests popping in and adding some input, clan friends, the real clan friend not the KOA version or interested players just to see how it operates, unfortunately guests are not allowed in the clan, as far as RS is concerned we are not allowing new members, Rue contacted me on RSHQ and asked when we were taking members.

RS have created a clan facility and we should utilise it, not just reject it because you do not like to be told how to run your clan. we should use and work it to our own advantage.

People should decide which clan they want to be in and if its not KOA we need to find out why and what we can do to make it better, we may lose clan members but if they do not want to be here then perhaps they shouldn't.

I just wanted to comment on this one:

I think there is a misunderstanding. KoA is always taking new members . Anyone who wants to join just has to apply. The fact that we´re not openly advertising doesn´t mean people can´t join our clan. Everyone is welcome.

And also explaining- by " open" I meant exactly that- everyone is welcome if they meet the requirements, we don´t have the trial period, we don´t prohibit multiclanning, basicly you´re free to do what ever you want in clan without 3 pages of different rules and regulations. ( just keep it polite :P)
However, yeah the clan chat is closed to avoid random people who dont meet our requirments( i. e age req). If the cc was open then it would be a lot harder to keep the maturity we have.

Unless it has changed recently the clan vexilum says we are not taking new members, If I read the vexilum and it said we were not taking new members I would be under the impression we are not taking new members, I assume this is the same for the RS koa clan website.

If it has changed recently then I take it all back

Yes, it changed about 2 months ago.
