Opening the Clan Chat to guests
Staff have been discussing the benefits of opening up the cc to guests on a regular basis. There have been various suggestions on when to open the cc to guests, we have narrowed them down and created a Poll for the clan to vote on.

Re: Opening the Clan Chat to guests
I have voted other - I would prefer that the CC was open to guests at all times but every weekend would be the next best option

Re: Opening the Clan Chat to guests
For me personally, I am worried that maybe it will become an adult clan with younger guests and one of the main reasons I joined KoA was to be with other adults and not have to deal with the younger people I had seen ingame that made me turn off my public setting most of the time. This could lead to our no-drama clan being full of drama. Provided I am wrong and this does not happen then guests would be a good thing, so I have mixed feelings about this

Re: Opening the Clan Chat to guests
I agree with Cally. I have mixed feelings about every weekend. But It is certainly worth a try.

Re: Opening the Clan Chat to guests
I'm with Milly. I feel like the clan chat should be open all the time. This way anyone that has questions or concerns can contact us quicker. Not to mention people can see what we're like so that way we can eventually get a few more people in here.
Though there's a chance we can get the occasional troll. That shouldn't be an issue. We're smart enough not to start or add to trouble. Besides, we have a ban list for a reason right?
Though I can say if not this, I'm content with weekend openings.

Re: Opening the Clan Chat to guests
If the CC is open at all times, there's little incentive for anyone to become a member and maintain activity requirements.

I guess I didn't see it that way. I'm still happy with weekends.Dr Brad wrote:If the CC is open at all times, there's little incentive for anyone to become a member and maintain activity requirements.

Re: Opening the Clan Chat to guests
I am not a 100% on what exactly happens when having a guest chat, like how do people find out about it being open. I also think that a lot more people are going to be needed to boot out people who are nit coinciding with koa rules. I startes this comment with a huge of problems but as ive been drinking I cant quite remember most of them. However I think opebing to guests is a great idea as it would be nice to see more faces as a lot of out long standing members aren't on the game as much and/or leaving koa, im unsure of the reasoning behind some of the latest casualties, fothas to name one. Maybe his leaving could have been helped?

Re: Opening the Clan Chat to guests
Personally I wouldn't see that huge of a problem with it being open at all times, but even then, I think a stepping stone like weekends would need to be tried out for a couple of months first, just to see how people would act, and we could make a more educated decision from there.
Re: Opening the Clan Chat to guests
We advertise on RSOF, tip.it and RuneHQ. We are also relying on members to advertise and place the vex when skilling in certain areas.mysticmoggy wrote:how do people find out about it being open
It is probably going to end up with all full members having the ability to kick guests from the cc.mysticmoggy wrote:I also think that a lot more people are going to be needed to boot out people who are nit coinciding with koa rules.

I wish Fothas hadn't left, but he left for personal reasons and that needs to be respected. Who knows, he may be back oneday, I hope so coz I miss his noobiness!!mysticmoggy wrote:fothas to name one. Maybe his leaving could have been helped?
Like Brad mentioned, if we allow guests access all of the time, there is no incentive for full members to fulfill clan requirements. We will be constantly monitoring how things are going, and if it proves problematic for any reason, we will change things pretty sharpishbuzzsaw100 wrote:Personally I wouldn't see that huge of a problem with it being open at all times, but even then, I think a stepping stone like weekends would need to be tried out for a couple of months first, just to see how people would act, and we could make a more educated decision from there.

Re: Opening the Clan Chat to guests
I have to agree with Cally as well - but then again change is always a good thing.
I don't like the idea of always open to guests at all - but I wouldn't mind something like one weekend a month or so.
