Finally...a useful update for RC!

If you didn't read through today's Halloween update, at the bottom it mentions getting your Wicked Hood. The req's are so low, we can all get it no problem. It offers:

5 free runes per day...pointless.
100 free pure ess per day...nice!
2 free tele's to an altar of your choice per day...also nice!
It absorbs talismans (omni-tally for your convenience) and works as a tiara for them all.

Basically, the bottom line is that you get to tele to blood altar twice a day and make pick up some quick RC exp. Also, you might use the free 100 pure ess while at an altar (I'm thinking ZMI or Blood) for a nice exp boost...it's the equivalent of two free ZMI runs with pouches.

I made Bloods...used both tele's and the 100 free ess...2,184 RC exp in just a couple minutes. Time to add this to the top of my daily list!

I haven't actually tested it out yet, but according to RuneScape Wiki, you can use the hood to teleport to Lunar Isle, despite that altar not having a talisman. http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Wicked_hood

If that's true, then we finally have an easy way to switch to lunar magic. Neat.

Edit: I've tested it, and can confirm that you can teleport to the astral altar using the hood. You just need to use an omni-talisman on it (an omni-tiara also works — that's what I used).

Bye bye abyssal beasties. I'll be taking the express route. 2 trips per day should be sufficient to get my rocks each week. And the lunar option will be good for penguins.

This actually saved me a bank space, since I already had an omni tiara and an elemental talisman in the bottomless pit that is my bank. Delicious!

The free rune thing is based on the level of rune on how many you get. You only get 5 deaths runes per turn-in, but you get 100 air runes per turn-in. So it can be nice to get some elemental runes for your teleports or whatever. Otherwise, the hood is mostly a little free experience and the ability to never have to buy runes again unless you are doing some mass alching or mage combat training .

I love this hood, tho I was sorry to lose my omni-tiara...and I love the way it acts as a pouch. I can do over 300 astrals in one trip, very sweet! I'll be using this every day, for sure.
