Ya normally they just make temp accounts that spam until they get banned, it's stupid.

Every game has this problem. We'll just have to see if it gets to be as bad as it used to be.

Ought to just report them as usual, or you're not really a part of a solution.

I have seen the rs advertisers but not seen the bald green top bots just the normal player bots.

I was in GE and there were 2 players offering trust trades to get 10m, at the same time there were 4 players luring people to the wildy not including the numerous show me your inventory for free monkfish etc. havent seen the trimming scam yet.

Looks like scammers are catching up for lost time, I reported the trust trade scammers because they were actualy admitting it was a trust game but the lurers are not really breaking any rules just praying on the young, inexperienced, gullible and greedy players.

Not really sure if i should report knowing that they may get let off if they slip Jagex a back hander.

I am trying to toughen up and not care for other players but its just my nature, I think we all need to toughen up and just accept it the way it is.

Did expect this type of stuff will happen when free trade returned and personally I think it's more important to build up strong community than destroy it slowly.

Jagex really should have made a significant effort to explicitly warn people about how prevalent scamming would be when free trade/wilderness returned. They didn't need to go into details of individuals scams, but just warn about scamming in general.

How about this? I hope they get shut down quickly.

i have to wonder how many of those rwt sites try to get key loggers onto peoples computers so they can steel the money back and take what ever they can from anyone who visits their site at all. They would be killing to birds with one stone: sell their product and get new product at the same time.

I had an advert for a new Runescape whilst in the GE.................Runescape 3! Its only a beta at the moment but you can use your same username and password from Runescape 2!

Needless to say, we all grouped round the little 'git', reported him, called him a scammer and a few other choice words and just when you thought it was over, a MOD appears! He muted him straight away and started warning him he had just lost his account and how stupid he was. It wasn't as if it was a low level account as well it was low 100's combat level.

I think Jagex need to bring in a lot more player mods.
