Took this from the news posts today. What do jagex think the vote percentage actually means??

Am i the only KoA member that is thinking 2m visits 10% voted, surely the majority do not want the servers?

I think you're making the mistake of thinking Jagex was actually giving anyone a vote.

It usually takes them months to do anything, yet they suddenly have this ready to go this Friday?

The vote was very much, we've done this, these servers are coming, you can get a vote on how much it will cost, but I'm sure they will have done their research on what kind of uptake this would get, they haven't done all this work just to take a blind guess at votes and prices.

They've projected x amount of votes - the costs and amount of votes are to reflect their projections. If they'd have expected more votes they would have set the targets higher.

the vote is just a marketing ploy.. its coming if u vote yes or don't vote, it was coming before the poll was put up.

have to agree with deep.....they had a pretty good idea what to expect and how amazing they were ready in such a short amount of time....I don't think so! will have a play with the old servers in the free month but not paying extra once they go p2p...wonder how many folks will.

Many of those 2 million visitors were searching for a non-existent "No" button. What if half of those visitors had voted No? Good luck spinning that Jagex!

Exactly good points Deep and Brad. Its like the wildy vote, they knew there was absolutely no chance of the wildy vote not passing, and they knew that this would probably end up in the 250k-500k range, or else they would have adjusted the numbers differently.

Oh yeah, been saying it all along that they knew it was coming back regardless Kinda glad though, means we can get this done quick.

Wow, and as I just logged in there was a large ad to "vote" for the servers, if they want to have a truly neutral vote, they'd #1 have a no option, #2 not push it so much in your face.
