Star Hunting Event. 10am - 4pm EST
I have 99 mining but the other day I ran across a size 6 star and called it out in the cc and started mining as I waited for my clannies to get there. I actually was excited when I saw it and it brought back a flood of memories of past star hunting so I thought I would try and expose some of you to this fun activity. There is nothing like waiting at a location for the star to land, then seeing the shadow coming across the ground towards you and if you have your sound on, hearing the whistling growing louder as it nears and then trying to be the first to "“tagâ€Â.
This is a great clan event with great experience to be had, so everyone pull out your pickaxes and let's go mine some stars!
This event will take place about every 2 hours as the stars come in. When it's close to the time for the star to fall we need to get all the locations covered so someone will have a good chance at getting the "“tag†(you get a lot of experience for being the first to touch the star).
This is truly a team effort so we will need people throughout the day willing to hop worlds to look in their telescopes to find good worlds. I personally like to try and do only the "“Morytania or Mos Le'Harmless†and "“Piscatoris, the Gnome Stronghold, or Tirannwn†worlds as there are only three locations to cover for each of these. So, if you are interested in helping on this event please post and let me know if you are willing to look for worlds (hopefully some of you have mahogany telescopes to help narrow down the landing time to 2 minutes).
This really a good event since it doesn't take a lot of time and happens every 2 hours so you can do other things in between.
Like I said I try and only do the two landing areas but here is a list of them all in case we can't get those two.
