Thanks for hosting - it was fun.
I did notice one thing though. It seems that the more people you have, the longer it takes to get through because each time someone enters the room you are in, the doors reset so if you are checking doors and someone comes in, it may (and usually does) reset to a door you already checked.
Otherwise, a nice event and I picked up some reasonable xp from it.

I believe the doors only reset when someone enters floor 1 of PP.

I always thought they randomly reset but it does seem to happen more often with a lot of people running through. I've always found groups of 3 or 4 in a world with nobody else at plunder to be the best.

According to tip.it:

It is worth noting that if another player enters the pyramid while you are in it the doors will reset. This means you may end up having to try all the doors in the room you are in again

As sSnow says, if your group is the only players in the pyramid and you move together (going through all the rooms together), then you shouldn't experience the reset phenomenon.

Perfect, then next time we must all click at the same time to go into first room and follow each other to our respective rooms

Probably would have done me well to read the tipit beforehand. Oh well, still had fun even if I had to click the same door more than once regularly
