Clan Avatar Rules - version 1.1

KoA has now had several weeks of experience with the 3 clan avatars. Overall, staff's impression is that the clan has handled this new resource well with few exceptions. Some of the glitching has added to avatar confusion but it seems manageable. What follows are clan avatar rules version 1.1:

* If you summon an avatar, you MUST remain in the CC while using it.
* If you have an avatar summoned and you decide to leave the game, you MUST dismiss it prior to logging.
* Periodically announce in CC the type of avatar (skiller or killer) you have out and its current location.
* The world and clannie using avatar can be found on the clan noticeboard, if you need a location ask in cc.
* If you have the avatar please monitor cc for these requests.
* If you've summoned the avatar for 2 hours, ask in CC if someone else would like to use it. If no, then you're welcome to continue using it.
* If an event is scheduled, assume an avatar (skiller or killer) will be needed for the event (unless told otherwise). Don't be surprised if the event host asks you to dismiss your avatar (unless, of course, you plan on attending the event as well).
* Try to summon the avatar on a KoA home world (exception: citadel use)

NOTE 1: If a member repeatedly disregards these rules, then the "Avatar Warden" job may be removed (temporarily or permanently) from their account. If you don't have the warden job, you can still benefit from the avatar. However, you won't be able to summon the avatar on your own.

NOTE 2: The avatars remain glitchy. If an avatar is lost, don't assume that a fellow member is negligent and didn't dismiss it before logging. Let's assume the best in our fellow clan members. :)

NOTE 3: We all know that ppl experience different connections depending on the world they're using. With this knowledge, sometime KoA's home world won't work well for some using the avatar. Please be supportive and understanding of those who use the avatar on a world other than KoA's home world.

NOTE 4: When a new clan member joins KoA, we expect them to read these rules and agree to follow them (by replying "I agree" in this forum thread) prior to staff assigning them the Avatar Warden job.

NOTE 5: ALL KoA members are welcome to summon the clan's avatars -- whether you train at the citadel or not. This is a clan resource from which all can benefit. If you haven't summoned a clan avatar before and you need assistance, please reach out to a staff member who can help you with this process.

Just a small heads up I cannot get into world 114, so if I do choose to summon it, it may be on a different world.

Sounds good to me Brad, and well done to all for the way the whole Avatar thang has been handled to date. Think, especially hearing some horror stories from other clans, we as clannies and staff have done a great job.

The only other rule I would add is that anyone under the influence of alcohol cannot use the avatar for fear of corruption ;) (sorry couldn't resist)

Good set of rules, I'm sure we will all try our very best to keep within them =)

Seems like a pretty reasonable and sound set of rules. Let's hope these stick well and there aren't any problems :)

Might have overlooked it... But didn't see Note 4 on the first time..
Either way.. I think that is one of the best rules.. Assuring the rules are read.
